After you book

What to bring

This depends on the tour or regatta that you are attending.
For Sailing Tours you will need the obvious things like Swimmers, Casual Clothes, Deck Shoes or Runners, Camera, Sunglasses, Hat, Warm Clothes for evenings in Europe and Canada, 12 volt phone/IPad charger. For the regattas, we normally supply sailing jacket, sailing shirt & team hat.

Seasickness

All our cruises are in protected waters and we take special care to only travel when the weather is most favourable. If you are prone to seasickness, we can recommend suitable deterrents through our medical affiliates.

Before You Book

How do we get there

Most people will travel by air. As travel agents we are in a position to recommend the best flights for minimum stopovers and economical prices.

What information do we have about each port of call.

Our team will set out daily, places of interest, things to do and see. Everywhere is different and many people have their own idea of what they prefer to do. For example, we have had many people who want to kit up and go hiking at each new destination, others who want to jump on a kayak and go exploring little bays and inlets. Some want to fish and others just sit in a coffee shop or cafe and take in the passing parade!

Can we book flights

As most of our tours do not include flights (many people like to redeem points or have their own agent).
As travel agents we are qualified to arrange any flight bookings anywhere in the world.

Passports & Visas

All international travel will require a current Passport with a minimum of six months from the date of return. Visas are required in many countries that we visit so we will advise all our guests as to Visa requirements.

Pre & Post Tours

As registered travel agents we are able to suggest and/or book a variety of pre and post tours for our guests who wish to extend their holiday.

Seasickness

How far do we travel in a day

Generally on our cruising tours we like to keep the travel/sailing part of the day to 3 -4 hours. This gives our guests the opportunity to explore new destinations, see points of interest or the history of the region. There are occasional days where we travel up to 5 hours, this is so that we can get to a particular destination. Guests are always made aware of what the travel time will be in relation to each day.

What do I have to do on board.

Your on-board experience is up to you. We have many people who would prefer to sit back, relax, read a book or take in the scenery. For those who have a desire to do some sailing or learn more about boats, navigation or any of the many aspects of sailing, our skippers are only too willing to get you involved in any or all aspects of the boat.

Change of Itinerary

If, in our opinion, it is desirable to change or alter an itinerary, we will do that in order to make our guest experience the best it can be.
